Nusuk is the Saudi government platform for Umrah and Hajj services and permits, including booking time slots to visit the holy sites. For Umrah it has become the central tool, and a permit through Nusuk is required regardless of the visa you hold.
Who needs Nusuk
Anyone planning to perform Umrah, or to visit certain holy sites, uses Nusuk to obtain the necessary permit and time slot. This applies to pilgrims arriving on a dedicated Umrah visa and to residents and tourists alike.
It is also used to book specific experiences such as visits to the Rawdah, which require a separate timed permit.
How it fits with your visa
Nusuk handles the permit to perform the rituals; it does not replace your visa. You still need an appropriate visa to be in the Kingdom, and then Nusuk for the permit itself.
We will cover the full Umrah and tourist visa process in a dedicated guide. For now, treat Nusuk as the permit layer that sits on top of your visa.
