How to Register an Absher Account (New User)
Absher is the Saudi government portal that lets residents handle most official services online, from checking your Iqama to issuing exit and re-entry visas. This guide explains how to register a new account, what you need, and why registration and activation are two separate steps.

Go to absher.sa or the Absher app, choose new user registration, and enter your Iqama number, a Saudi mobile number registered in your name, and an email. You create a username and password. The account is then registered, but you still need to activate it before the full services unlock.
What you need before you start
Registration only works smoothly if your details already match government records. The most common blocker is a SIM card not registered under your own Iqama, so check that first.
Have your Iqama to hand and access to the phone with that SIM, because a verification code is sent to it during sign-up.
Registration requirements
- A valid Iqama number
- A Saudi mobile number registered in your own name
- A personal email address
- The phone with you to receive the verification code
Registration vs activation
Registering creates the account, but many sensitive services stay locked until you activate it. Activation confirms your identity beyond the username and password.
You can activate through the Nafath app, at a bank ATM, or at a self-service kiosk. Our guide on how to activate your Absher account covers each route.
Register on the official portal
Always register only on the official Absher website or app. Never enter your details on a third-party site.

Frequently asked questions
Can I register Absher with someone else's phone number?
